CARBONDALE — Carbondale Police are investigating a series of motor vehicle burglaries that have happened recently.
Police say between March 23 and April 4, police have received 13 burglary to motor vehicle reports.
Reports have been investigated in the 200 block of South Wedgewood, the 600 and 800 blocks of West Mill Street, the 700 block of South James Street, the 900 blocks of South Johnson and South Carter streets, the 1100 to 1300 blocks of West Chautauqua and the 1400 block of West Taylor. All the cases involved unlocked vehicles.
Police urge residents to make sure their vehicles always remain locked and to avoid leaving valuables inside the vehicles or leaving them in plain view. You should call the police immediately if you see suspicious people or activity.
