FAYETTE COUNTY — Bail has been set at $100,000 for a 41-year-old Brownstown man charged in Fayette County Court with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Jason D. McCaslin is charged in separate cases with the two Class 2 felonies but the bail stands for both cases.

According to charging information, McCaslin is accused of having committed acts of sexual penetration with two separate victims who were between the ages 13 and 17.

McCaslin informed the court he will be hiring private counsel to represent him in the matters.

He’s next scheduled to appear in court January 2, 2019, for a preliminary hearing and first appearance with counsel.

If convicted he could face between 3 and 7 years in prison on each Class 2 felony charge.
