FAYETTE COUNTY — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public of a new scam circulating.

The scammer reportedly poses as a Wal-Mart representative claiming that you have won a new car and money but you must first pay a $500 fee .

The call is a scam and the sheriff’s office reminds the public to never give out any personal or financial information over the phone.
