Rides Mass Transit District is breaking ground Thursday morning for the area’s new park-and-ride transit center near the grounds of the state regional office and VA Medical Center in Marion.

Officials say this state-funded regional project will be a hub for public transportation providers across southern Illinois.

Refreshments will be served after the ceremony. You will also be able to see RMTD’s 35-foot New Flyer bus.
