Wilma Mae Gentry, 90, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 12:28 P.M. June 7, 2018 at the Mount Vernon Residential Living Center. She was born August 16, 1927 in Stewartsville, Indiana to the late Benjamin Harrison and Mary Lou (Buttrey) Bradshaw. Wilma married David Otto Gentry on August 16, 1952 in Harrisburg, Illinois. They were blessed with 41 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on October 18, 1993.

A Visitation will be held Monday, June 11, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church in rural Mount Vernon. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the church with Reverend Benton Fitzjerrells and Reverend Randy Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at East Salem Cemetery in rural Mount Vernon. Memorials may be made in Wilma’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association, Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, or American Cancer Society.
