Gary R. Henry, 69, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 10:25 P.M.February 18, 2018 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was bornMay 21, 1948 in Jefferson County, Illinois to Ross Earl & Cora Maxine (Chambliss) Henry. He married Phyllis Hoffman on August 25, 1968 in Mount Vernon, Illinois and they were blessed with 49 years together.

Visitation: 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Celebration of Life Service:2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Chaplain Ernie Collins officiating.  Interment: Old Shiloh Cemetery in Jefferson County, Illinois. Members of the Mount Vernon American Legion Post 141 will conduct full military honors at the cemetery. Memorials: Donor’s choice.
