Illinois State Police are currently involved in the nationwide “Click It or Ticket” Program.
Troopers, especially over the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend, will be looking to see if you are buckled up, not drinking and driving and obeying the rules of the road.
ISP will have troopers set up every 20 miles on the interstates making sure everyone is driving safely. But Trooper Joey Watson, Safety Education and Public Information Officer for ISP District 13 in Du Quoin, says there will still be people making bad choices on the road.
Watson reminds you to make good choices behind the wheel of your own vehicle so everyone will have a safe drive to their destination.
