Clarence Wayne Staats, 63, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 5:45 P.M. September 12, 2017 at his residence in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He was born November 23, 1953 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Dysart Turner & Irene Virginia (Coberly) Staats. He first married Pamela Johnson on December 29, 1973 and she survives. He then married Providencia Gonzalez on February 26, 2011 and she survives.

Visitation: 5:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 15, 2017 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
Funeral Service: A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, Septebmer 16, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois at with Henrietta Dunavan officiating.
Interment: Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
