MARION COUNTY — A single-vehicle crash injured a driver and his passenger on Interstate 57 early Sunday morning.

Illinois State Police reports indicate that 38-year-old Michael W. Arquette of Plymouth, Ind., was traveling northbound whenever his Chevrolet Traverse traveled onto the right shoulder and struck the bridge and guardrail. The vehicle then left the roadway to the right.

Arquette and his passenger, 41-year-old Jay M. Drudge, were transported to Salem Township Hospital.

The accident occurred at 3:58 a.m. near milepost 130.
