(SALEM, IL) — A 26-year-old Junction City man is in the Marion County Jail after he was arrested early this morning by Wamac police for alleged possession of a vehicle reported stolen in Kansas. Jonathan Scothorn was arrested for alleged possession of a stolen vehicle and driving while license revoked after a Wamac officer ran the license plate of the car and discovered the silver Toyota had been reported stolen in Kansas. The officer followed the vehicle until Centralia and Central City officers were in a position to assist before he made the traffic stop on North Elm Street near Gragg. When Scothorn was stopped it was also discovered that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant from Kansas City charging him with forgery. Bail on that warrant was set at $10,000.
