(MT. VERNON, IL) —  The Jefferson County Board held a special meeting Monday evening.  The Board sought and received approval of a resolution to enter into a loan agreement for Sheriff’s Office equipment with People’s Bank.  The loan is for $207,000 for the purchase of new Ford SUV Interceptors for the department to replace aging vehicles.
