(MCLEANSBORO, IL) — A groundbreaking ceremony for a new independent senior living facility will be held this afternoon in McLeansboro. Blair Minton, with Fox Meadows Not for Profit, says Fox Meadows Independent Living will be located on the old high school site in McLeansboro. Construction on the 30-unit facility got underway earlier this month. Minton says the $6 million project should be completed in about nine months. Funding for the project is coming from selling tax credits through the Illinois Housing Development Authority. The groundbreaking ceremony will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the construction site located at 108 South Pearl in McLeansboro.
