(O’Fallon, IL)  —  A boy is safe after he was sucked into a drainage pipe in O’Fallon.  Authorities say the incident happened yesterday morning while the eight-year-old was playing in a retention pond.  Emergency crews located him hanging onto a ladder after lifting a manhole cover.  The boy was hospitalized with minor injuries.
