(MT. VERNON, IL) — A collision on Interstate 64 Wednesday sent a driver of one of the vehicles to the hospital with injuries.  At 5 p.m. at milepost 87 eastbound of Interstate 64, a vehicle driven by 25 year old Andrew B. Miller from Owensville, Indiana was following a vehicle driven by 41 year old Shelton D. Williams of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Miller had fallen asleep while driving, causing his vehicle to slam into the rear of the Wiliams vehicle. The Miller vehicle then left the roadway and entered the median, suffering heavy front end damage. Miller was transported to the hospital and was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
