(SALEM, IL) — A 23-year-old Salem man was arrested Wednesday morning on an outstanding Marion County warrant after he sought medical treatment for a stab wound. Thomas “TJ” Wilkins went to the Emergency Room at the Salem Township Hospital around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday suffering from a stab wound to his lower abdomen. Salem police responded to the hospital but Wilkins reportedly would not provide them with information about how he was stabbed. Wilkins was wanted on an outstanding Marion County warrant for failure to appear on a felony residential burglary case. He was taken into custody after being released from the hospital and is being held in the Marion County Jail with bail set at $25,000. He’s next due in court March 22 for a hearing on a petition to revoke probation.
