Marlin J. “Gene” Frick, 89, of Bonnie, Illinois passed away March 11, 2017 at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri.  He was born May 28, 1927 in Jefferson County, Illinois to parents, John and Flora (McGhee) Frick. Gene married JoAnn (Lappin) Frick on January 20, 1951 in Clay County, Arkansas. They were blessed with 66 years of marriage. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville, Illinois with Pastor Bill Degenhardt officiating.  Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Members of the Mount Vernon American Legion Post #141 will conduct Full Military Honors at the cemetery.
