(SALEM, IL) — A 31-year-old Centralia man was sentenced Tuesday in Marion County court to 3-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after he pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine. Bryce Jones pleaded guilty Tuesday to Class 3 felony possession of less than 5 grams of meth. Jones was arrested in January after a theft investigation at the Sonic restaurant in Centralia led police to arrest Jones at the Westside Farm Fresh store. While in custody at the Centralia Police Department, officers discovered two containers in Jones’ possession, one of which contained a half-gram of meth. He was taken to the Marion County Jail where he has remained with bail set at $7,500. In addition to the 3-year prison term, Jones will have to complete 1-year mandatory supervised release and pay court costs. Jones qualifies for day-for-day good time credit and was given credit for time served in the county jail.
