(KELL, IL) — A motorcycle crash early Sunday morning on Route 37 just south of Kell Road sent a 37-year-old Creal Springs man to the hospital with serious injuries. According to reports, around 12:20 Sunday morning, a motorcycle driven by Joseph Robinson ran off the roadway, and struck a tree, with Robinson being thrown from the motorcycle. Due to high winds in the area, an attempt to land a medical helicopter in the area to transport Robinson to St. Louis for treatment was abandoned. He was instead taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, reportedly for treatment of two broken legs. Marion County Sheriff’s deputies, along with Kell firefighters responded to the scene.
