(BENTON, IL) — Impaired driving led to a crash involving a West Frankfort man Wednesday afternoon in Franklin County. Illinois State Police say around 5 p.m., 46-year-old Roger Mull was driving his pickup truck north on Route 37, just north of County Line Road, when the truck drifted off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. The truck suffered major damage and was towed from the scene. Mull was taken by ambulance to Herrin Hospital with minor injuries. Mull was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage. He was wearing a seat belt.
