(MT. VERNON, IL) — Police in Mt. Vernon arrested a 17-year-old juvenile Friday in connection with ongoing weapons and burglary investigations in the city. Police say the juvenile is charged with armed violence, residential burglary, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and no valid FOID card. He is being held in the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center in Benton pending a court date in Jefferson County. The juvenile was taken into custody after the Mt. Vernon Police Department/Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department High Risk Team served two search warrants at two homes on South 18th Street. This was done in connection with the investigations. Police say besides the juvenile being taken into custody, firearms were seized. Two of the firearms were stolen. Police are also looking for another man, 24-year-old Lyle Bulliner, in connection with these investigations. Anyone with information or know where Bulliner may be, should call Mt.
