(MT. VERNON, IL) — Beginning this evening at 10 p.m., the Illinois Department of Transportation will be removing an overhead sign truss on Interstate 57 near exit 92 in Mt. Vernon. The right lane of northbound I-57 will be closed from 10 p.m. this evening until 5 a.m. Friday morning. Two short complete closures will occur between 11:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. for the removal of the overhead span and the west end support. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the construction site as quickly as possible.
