Janice K. Isaac, 82 of Centralia, IL passed away Friday June 28, 2024, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL.

She was born June 20, 1942, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, the daughter of Jessie W. Geibe and H. Fern (Williams) Geibe. She married Leonard Sharp in June 1960 and they later divorced. Janice married Melvin Isaac on March 9, 1994, and he preceded her in death, September 1996.

Janice is survived by her two daughters: Debra Claypool and David Knox of Centralia, IL and Diana Allen and husband Thomas Lynn Allen of Wimberly, Texas. Three grandchildren: Andrea Schwartz and Husband Mathew of Centralia, Erin Claypool of Centralia and Matthew Knox and Wife Ashley of Highland, IL. Great-Grandsons: Blaise W. Schwartz, Luke P. Schwartz, and Ryan D. Knox; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers: Jessie “LaVern� Geibe and Charles “Bill� Geibe, and niece Tammy Geibe.

Janice retired from the Centralia Sentinel and then owned and operated The Fat Cat and The Sportsman’s Pub in Centralia, IL for several years. She enjoyed St. Louis Cardinal Baseball, crafting, working in her flower gardens and most especially being GGMaw to her great-grandsons. Janice was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Cremation Rites will be accorded per her wishes and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
