MARION COUNTY, IL — A Centralia man is being charged with two Class X felonies after making his first appearance in Marion County Court on Monday. 18-year-old Steward Stumbaugh is accused of armed robbery, home invasion and a lesser Class 3 charge of aggravated assault.
Stumbaugh is alleged to have entered a home in the 300 block of West Kell on Saturday with a butcher knife in hand and steal $60 from the occupant while making threatening gestures including saying he would kill the victim.
A preliminary hearing is set for July 16th. Stumbaugh has been ordered to remain in custody with no bond set.
