Donald Lee Wall, 68, of Texico, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019, while hiking on the River-to-River Trail.

He was born February 27, 1951, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Thallie C. and Lena (Ancona) Wall.  At Antioch Christian Church, on December 29, 1989, he married April Martin, and she survives in Texico.

Mr. Wall was a member of Antioch Christian Church, and worked as a welder for many years, until his retirement.  He was active with the Jefferson County Historical Society, and was an avid outdoorsman, that enjoyed motorcycle riding, bicycle riding, hiking, and collecting arrowheads.  His family rejoices in the knowledge that he was a Christian, and is in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior.

In addition to his wife, April Wall of Texico; he is survived by one son, Andrew Wall and special friend Kristi of Edwardsville;  one daughter, Katie Wall of Texico;  one brother, John C. Wall, Sr., of Nashville, Illinois;  and two sisters, Mary Mullinax and husband David of Texico, and Jane Shideler of Overland Park, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thallie and Lena Wall;  and a great nephew, Devon Heisner.

Funeral services for Mr. Wall will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019, at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, with Jonathan Schnautz officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held Friday, October 25, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.  Memorial gifts may be made to the Antioch Christian Church, or to the Jefferson County Historical Society, and will be received at the service, or by mail to the Osborn Funeral Home, P.O.
