(NASHVILLE, IL) — A section of Interstate 64 in Washington County was closed for a period last night due to a truck fire. According to the Illinois State Police a semi-trailer caught fire on I-64 eastbound near milepost 47 around 6:40 p.m. The driver was able to unhook from the trailer and there were no injuries as a result of the fire. Nashville Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire, while Petroff’s Towing and Isaacs’ Towing handled the cleanup. The Illinois Department of Transportation also assisted with the road closure.
